If you have ever wandered Shkodër at night, you will know how magical it looks under the glow of the city lights.
Of course, after a bit of exploring, hunger struck again. But where to eat? Google reviews in this region can be hit or miss, so I trusted a different approach—asking a local.
I spotted a guy unlocking his bicycle (riding bikes is a thing in Shkodër, and I love that about the city), and I figured, why not? He mentioned a new place that had just opened and had been getting great word-of-mouth reviews. Enter Trattoria Venezia.
Would I go back? Oh yes! I would, and you should too if you are in Shkodër.

The food was so good that I had to take some home because my stomach waved the white flag. Authentic flavors and a warm, inviting atmosphere—this was a winning pick.
